Every figure Atlas shows carries a class. It tells you how much weight the number can bear.

Verified

Backed by a document or feed you can open from the figure, dated.

Verified when dated

A snapshot that was true on the date shown. Check the date before you rely on it.

Modelled

Computed from assumptions. The assumptions are listed beside it, with who set them.

Fixture

Demonstration data. Never a basis for a decision.

Unmeasured

Atlas cannot say. It says so rather than guessing.

Classes travel with the figure into reports and exports. No role can reclassify a figure; the class follows from the evidence, not from a setting.
